Select October/ November Practice Schedule

Select teams from Minor Novice 2001 through Midget 1992 will be formed from interested House League players to participate in the North York Select League (NYHL) and in tournaments. A Tyke 03/02 developmental team will also be organized if there is interest. Select team players also continue to play on their teams in the Saturday House League. Select teams are formed and entered in the NYHL if there is at minimum 13 committed players, with at least one to play goaltender. In addition there needs to be a coaching staff approved by the Faustina Hockey Board. Select teams are chosen by the team coach using a competitive try-out format. Normally the maximum roster for teams is 16 players. Select teams have scheduled in-door ice practices (18-20) during the season. Players who make Select teams are required to pay an additional Select team fee in addition to the House League fee, last season it was $ 350.00. For the past 07/08 season Faustina entered 10 Select teams in the NYHL, all divisions Minor Novice to Midget JR plus a Juvenile teams. Faustina hosts a Select team tournament at Christmas which is in it's 11th year. Faustina is proud of its strong tradition of excellence in Select hockey and the success our teams have had. In 07/08 the Minor Bantam, Juvenile teams won their divisions in the NYHL.
